Terms & Conditions
Important additional information and terms applicable to all bookings made with Nova Travels and Tours.
You must not proceed with any booking unless you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Tickets and travel services are issued only after acceptance.
General Terms
- This booking is changeable with a penalty of AUD 595 per person, plus any applicable fare and tax difference at the time of rebooking.
- Some airline fares are non-changeable and non-refundable. Please carefully review fare rules before making payment.
- Nova Travels and Tours is not responsible for any flight schedule changes or cancellations made by airlines.
- In the event of a schedule change or cancellation by the airline (international or domestic), a minimum service fee of AUD 75 per person may apply, in addition to any airline-imposed fees.
- It is the passenger’s responsibility to reconfirm flight schedules directly with the airline prior to departure. Nova Travels and Tours will not be liable for costs incurred if this is not done.
- Any special requests including meals, seat selection, bassinets, wheelchair assistance, or other services must be reconfirmed with the airline or Nova Travels and Tours at least 72 hours prior to departure.
- When travelling on combination fares involving two or more airlines, Nova Travels and Tours is not responsible for delays, missed connections, or onward travel disruptions.
- Baggage allowance must be checked with your travel consultant or airline prior to travel.
- Failure to reconfirm flights may result in cancellation by the airline, for which Nova Travels and Tours will not be responsible.
- Bassinet and wheelchair services are subject to airline availability. Any charges imposed by the airline are payable by the passenger.
1. Emergency 24/7 Support
Nova Travels and Tours provides 24/7 emergency support for urgent travel matters. For emergencies within 24 hours of departure or while travelling:

2. Travel Agent Role
Nova Travels and Tours acts solely as a travel agent. We arrange travel services on behalf of third-party suppliers, including airlines, hotels, cruise operators, rail and coach providers. Nova Travels and Tours does not own, operate, or control these suppliers and is not liable for their acts, omissions, delays, cancellations, or service failures. All bookings are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of liability imposed by the relevant service providers, including airlines. Your legal rights and remedies lie against the service provider, not Nova Travels and Tours.
3. Passenger Name Accuracy
Passenger first name and surname must exactly match the passport, including spelling. Any correction or amendment may result in airline change fees, reissue fees, or cancellation charges.
4. Price Flexibility
All airfares are subject to availability and may change, be withdrawn, or altered by airlines without notice prior to ticket issuance.
5. Travel Insurance
Nova Travels and Tours strongly recommends comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical expenses, cancellations, delays, lost baggage, and other unforeseen circumstances.
6. Taxes & Charges
Government, airport, and airline-imposed taxes and charges are payable by passengers. Some charges may be payable locally in the destination currency.
7. Passports, Visas & Health Requirements
- Passengers are solely responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas (including transit visas), and meet all entry, exit, and transit requirements for Australia and all other destinations.
- Entry into Australia or other countries may be refused if documentation is invalid or incomplete.
- Nova Travels and Tours is not liable for denied boarding, refusal of entry, or penalties arising from inadequate travel documentation.
- Passport validity requirements generally require at least 6 months validity beyond the return date, depending on destination.
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required.
- Australian-issued driver licences are generally acceptable for domestic travel; airlines may require additional identification in some cases
For domestic Australian travel:
8. Credit Card Transactions
- If a travel service provider fails to deliver services, any claim must be made directly against the provider.
- You agree not to initiate chargebacks against Nova Travels and Tours for services provided by third-party suppliers.
- If a chargeback occurs, you agree to indemnify Nova Travels and Tours for any resulting losses, airline debit memos, or legal costs.
- Credit card statements may show “Nova Travels and Tours” or an authorised merchant name.
- If a payment is declined, all outstanding amounts must be settled immediately via bank transfer, cash, or other approved methods.
9. Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in writing.
10. Responsibility
All travel service providers are independent contractors. Nova Travels and Tours does not control their operations and is not responsible for their acts or omissions.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Nova Travels and Tours is not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or additional costs arising from:
- Airline schedule changes
- Weather conditions
- Mechanical failures
- Overbooking
- Acts of God
- Civil unrest, strikes, illness, or force majeure
If additional accommodation, meals, or transfers are required due to disruptions, these costs are the passenger’s responsibility. Baggage travels entirely at the owner’s risk. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Reissue Fees
Ticket changes incur:
- AUD 200 reissue fee per change
- AUD 95 consolidator fee
- Plus any applicable airline fare and tax differences
Fees may increase up to AUD 500 depending on ticket complexity.
13. Cancellation Fees
- Airline fare rules apply in all cases.
- Nova Travels and Tours cancellation fee: AUD 250 per person
- Consolidator fee: AUD 95 per person
- Plus any airline cancellation fees
- Non-refundable tickets receive no refund.
- Infant tickets are non-refundable in all circumstances.
- Low-cost carrier and domestic tickets are generally non-changeable and non-refundable./li>
14. Refunds
Refunds, if permitted under airline rules, may take up to 12 weeks or longer to be processed.
15. Refusal of Service
Service providers may refuse service if a passenger:
- Lacks valid travel documentation
- Is medically unfit to travel
- Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Displays disruptive or unsafe behaviour
Nova Travels and Tours bears no liability for such refusals.
16. Privacy Policy
Nova Travels and Tours is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Australian privacy laws.
17. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
18. Airline Terms
All airline-specific fare rules, baggage policies, change and cancellation conditions, and operational terms apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.
19. Declaration
I confirm that:
- All passenger details are correct as per passport
- I understand the fare rules and conditions
- I accept all Terms & Conditions stated above
